2MyCareer was founded
in New York in 2013 to assist ambitious college students and recent graduates in realizing
the careers that they have worked for and deserve. Candidates accepted
into the program will take part in a rigorous process of consultation designed
to give them the knowledge and skills required to turn their academic and other
achievements into meaningful employment. The company offers clients ongoing mentorship as they navigate through school and on to the
interview, hiring, and early career stages.
Jamie Peretz, FounderJamie brings a highly nuanced understanding of today’s employment marketplace. Her background positions her to be able to help students present themselves in a highly competitive manner, both in communications and in person. A crucial part of this transformative process is the necessity of creating a compelling narrative that speaks to potential employers.
Jamie joined Westwood Partners in 2015 and continues to specialize in investment banking and private equity executive recruiting. Jamie was previously a Managing Director at Korn Ferry. During her 15 years at Korn Ferry she also focused on the financial services arena. In addition, she recruited, trained, and mentored many junior team members and was noted for her expertise in helping professionals create narratives to re-focus their careers.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Jamie was an investment banker (Credit Suisse and JP Morgan) and an attorney (Pillsbury Winthrop). Throughout her career, Jamie has volunteered extensively to mentor students through New York’s Student Sponsor Partners as well as with other major national organizations.
Jamie's first job after college was as a Judicial Intern at the Supreme Court of the United States.
Jamie holds an AB from Princeton University, an MBA from New York University, and a JD from Georgetown University.
